Crossfit Fire

So we have done it yet again. Let ourselves loose all the progress we made last time around. So Jodie found the local Crossfit affiliate, Crossfit Fire, and we signed up. As Jennie told us we are going to get sexier every time we go work out which is good as I haven’t been ‘sexy’ in YEARS. :)

Today was an introductory class and it made me realize how much I missed it. We did a 500m row, 40 Squats, 30 sit ups, 20 push ups, 10 body rows for time. Jodie and i both ended up at just over 7 minutes for all that.

We are now going to go 3 times a week for the next two weeks as a get re-acquainted period.

New Workout Program

So this week marks the 6 month countdown to our 2 week Florida Vacation in December/January, and Jodie and I have already lost close over 10 lbs but we are both needing to loose about 30 more, and when you break it down by 6 months, 5 pounds a month seems manageable, so that is what we are doing.

We have already started eating better and today was day 1 of the P90X workout program. Jodie got up with me at 5am and we did the first two DVD’s for Day 1. First was Shoulders and Back and it was followed by Ab Ripper X. Both were intense but not unmanageable. We really feel that our training with Cross Fit really got us ready for this and will probably go back to Cross Fit after the 90 days to maintain our results and improve upon them.

We took before photos but those are not going to be shared with anyone but they are a great incentive to loose the weight.

Jodie’s Brother and sister in law just completed their 90 days and look great, but they didn’t have the extra weight that we do, so we will see what this does for us. We are excited.
